Pre-registration is required. All materials are provided but if you have your own soft pastels, you're welcome to bring them. Students should bring an apron to protect clothing since we will be painting, as well as an old towel to protect the floor under your workspace.
For beginner/intermediate students looking to discover painting with soft pastels. In this workshop, you will create a contemporary/impressionistic mountain painting. We will review the variety of soft pastels, papers, and tools for creating luminous art following a live step-by-step demo. We'll delve a little deeper into under-painting techniques, composition, value shapes, perspective and soft pastel painting techniques. Lisa provides a welcoming and informative workshop environment that encourages all students to abandon fear to find your own joyful artistry in the creative process.
